Guide on how to floss properly

It is quite important to take care of your teeth, in order to avoid tooth decay and gum disease. The latter can link to your general health as well, such as heart disease. Besides brushing your teeth a very popular way to improve your dental health is flossing. Flossing once a day gets rid off food pieces and plaque between the teeth. However, if plaque stays between your teeth, you should visit a dentist to get them removed.

How to floss properly:

-) Remove around 18 inch of floss from the dispenser

-) Wind the floss around your middle finger of both hands. Beware to leave an inch of the floss for flossing. Always floss the top teeth first then the bottom.

-) Place the floss carefully in your mouth and use your index fingers to move it between the teeth. Don’t push too hard, which could injure your gums.

-) Then start moving the floss up and down against the tooth and up around the gum line. The floss should present a C-shape around your tooth.

-) Use a clean section of floss if needed and wind them around the fingers.
